Lins de Vasconcelos Advogados Associados is a boutique law firm, focused on media, intellectual property, technology and cultural industries. Our goal is to provide highly specialized advice on all and any legal and regulatory matters of interest for creative enterprises and their technology partners, from conception to consumption.
Established late 2011, the firm has been advising media, entertainment and communication companies, as well as leading cultural institutions, being careful to keep its client base exclusive, highly qualified and strongly focused on the media sector, particularly in projects involving multiple languages and platforms.
Though young, the firm is already an institutional partner of the Brazilian Intellectual Property Association – ABPI, which has, over the past 50 years, contributed to the construction of a legally secure business environment, capable of attracting and encouraging investment in intellectual capital-intensive industries.
Our Proposal
Technically, we are fully prepared to deal with the most complex cases involving copyrights and related rights; IP acquisition and transfer operations; audiovisual production and partnership agreements; broadcast and telecom regulation; tax incentives; mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures; competition and antitrust; project structuring and finance; and other legal questions affecting the media industry.
Besides attorney representation, our firm can take care of the whole contract structure of any project and also develop analytical studies, position papers, legal opinions, risk assessment notes, communications, presentations and other documents to effectively contribute to the client’s legal thinking and IP strategy, both locally and globally.
Our structure is lean, which keeps us focused on the work, while our partnership network allows us to expand to virtually any scale necessary to deal with a particular project, always with our personal participation and/or close supervision. Litigation partners are also ready to take due care of matters which eventually survive all preventive efforts and we can easily count on top-quality expert advice on matters not directly related to media law (tax, labor, criminal, etc.).
